Peshawar: Zindigi Freelancer Connect, an initiative hosted by CECOS University Peshawar and powered by Edversity, launched a nationwide series aimed at empowering Pakistan's freelance community. The event seeks to address the needs of over 4 million freelancers in the country by offering learning opportunities, networking, and digital financial access.
As part of this initiative, the Zindigi Freelancer Account provides a comprehensive solution for freelancers. This includes a US Dollar-based account, low international transactional fees on the Zindigi debit card, seamless global and local payments, and an option to generate invoices through the app.
Pakistan is ranked among the top five freelancing countries globally. The Zindigi Freelancer Connect platform aims to address payment challenges and support freelancers in building sustainable careers.
Ibtisam Babar, Regional Manager Special Initiatives at Zindigi, stated that this initiative is another landmark project under the Zindigi Prize, known as Pakistan's largest homegrown entrepreneurial community. The platform provides 360-degree support, equipping freelancers with skills, mentorship, and financial access.
The Peshawar edition of the event attracted top freelancers, digital professionals, trainers, and aspiring talent, making it one of the largest freelance-focused events in the country. The day included keynotes, panels, training sessions, and networking opportunities, with industry experts sharing their insights.
The success of the Peshawar event emphasized Zindigi's commitment to fostering a thriving freelance economy through innovation and collaboration. Future editions of Zindigi Freelancer Connect are planned for other major cities across Pakistan.
