Karachi: Zong 4G, a prominent connectivity provider in Pakistan, has joined forces with Waste Hero to promote sustainability and eco-friendly practices through a series of activities aimed at effective waste management. This partnership highlights Zong 4G's commitment to fostering environmental sustainability via green and low-carbon initiatives.
According to a statement by Zong Pakistan, the collaboration included an interactive session at Excellence College, where 75 students were educated on waste segregation and recycling, encouraging them to adopt eco-conscious habits. Additionally, a workshop in Rawalpindi with NICAT brought together over 50 professionals and entrepreneurs to explore innovative solutions for managing electronic waste.
Furthering these efforts, Zong's headquarters hosted an awareness drive, engaging employees in discussions and activities centered around e-waste disposal. The initiative culminated in a clean-up hike at Margalla Trail 5 in Islamabad, where volunteers collected 7 kilograms of waste, underscoring the significance of preserving natural spaces.
Andleeb Aslam, a spokesperson for Zong 4G, emphasized the impact of collective action in promoting sustainability.
