Zong and Punjab IT Board Partner to Enhance Telecom Services at e-Khidmat Centers

Lahore: Zong, a leading information services and technology company in Pakistan, has partnered with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) to enhance citizen access to telecom services through e-Khidmat Centers across Punjab Province. This collaboration aims to streamline customer interactions and support PITB's mission to deliver integrated public services through technology.

According to Zong Pakistan, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Zong and PITB will establish Zong Customer Facilitation Desks at 15 divisional and district e-Khidmat Maraakaz. These desks will provide essential walk-in support services, including SIM issuance and replacement, account assistance, and guidance for recharge and bill payments. The initiative targets citizens who require in-person support or may face challenges with digital channels, offering a structured approach to enhance public service delivery.

Faheem Khan Durrani, Executive Director of Sales and Distribution at Zong, expressed that the partnership with PITB represents a mutual commitment to improving citizen-focused services through public-private collaboration. He noted that the establishment of Customer Facilitation Desks aims to provide seamless support for customers and advance the Government of Punjab's Digital Pakistan strategy.

Both Zong and PITB will work closely to ensure effective implementation and management of these services, supporting the Government of Punjab's digital initiatives and the national goal of citizen-focused technological progress.
