BMG Candidates Achieve Complete Victory in Karachi Chamber Elections 2024-26

Karachi: In a sweeping victory, the Businessmen Group (BMG) won all 30 seats in the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Elections for the 2024-26 term, securing a total of 92,954 votes. The Businessmen Alliance (BMA) candidates trailed with 21,613 votes.

According to Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the provisional results announced by Election Commission members Agha Shahab Ahmed Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed Vohra, and Abdul Nasir Rangoonwala highlighted BMG’s significant lead. Jawed Bilwani of BMG garnered the most votes with a count of 3,148, while Saleem Kapadia from BMA received 794 votes.

The Businessmen Group’s leadership, including Chairman Zubair Motiwala and Vice Chairmen Tahir Khaliq, Anjum Nisar, and Jawed Bilwani, expressed their gratitude towards the business and industrial community of Karachi for their ongoing support. The BMG has consistently won every election since 1998, a streak that underscores the trust placed in them by the business sector.

In his remarks, Chairman Motiwala attributed the group’s unbroken success to the solid endorsement of their policies by the business community, emphasizing that their commitment to public service and integrity has been a cornerstone of their electoral strength. The victory is seen as a mandate for the BMG to continue their advocacy for the business community’s interests and to enhance public service efforts.
