CDA to Launch Pakistan’s Largest IT Park in Islamabad with Private Sector Support

Islamabad, The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has unveiled plans to establish the largest Information Technology (IT) Park in Islamabad, a landmark initiative aimed at propelling Pakistan into the forefront of the global technology landscape. This announcement, reported on March 13, marks a significant collaboration between the government and private sectors, with the park set to become a hub for innovation and growth.

According to Zameen.Com, the IT Park will be situated in Sector G-10, covering an expanse of 3.3 acres. This ambitious project is designed to accommodate thousands of freelancers, startups, and established software houses, providing a nurturing environment for technological development and innovation. The park is expected to feature a variety of modern facilities, including libraries, exhibition spaces, research centers, and conference facilities, sprawling over a covered area of one lakh square feet.

The construction of the park will be financed by private investors, who will in turn lease space within the park to set up their IT offices. This model not only ensures the park's rapid development but also promotes economic activity and job creation in the sector. Following a 15-year period, the operational control of the park will revert to the CDA, highlighting the long-term commitment to fostering a robust technological infrastructure in Pakistan.
