Karachi, The Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan reported minor adjustments in the foreign exchange rates for major currencies against the Pakistani Rupee (PKR) on Thursday, March 22, 2024. US Dollar (USD) saw a slight decrease in its buying and selling rates, stabilizing at 278.14 and 280.73 PKR respectively, compared to the previous day's rates of 278.24 and 280.86 PKR.

According to Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, highlights changes in other major currencies as well. The Euro experienced a decrease in both buying and selling rates, closing at 299.52 and 302.46 PKR from Wednesday's 302.14 and 305.06 PKR. Similarly, the British Pound (GBP) decreased to 349.47 and 352.80 PKR from 353.86 and 357.09 PKR. The Japanese Yen (JPY), United Arab Emirates Dirham (AED), and Saudi Riyal (SR) also saw marginal decreases in their exchange rates against the PKR.

The interbank rates for the USD against the PKR were reported at 278.14 for buying and 278.34 for selling, showing a minor adjustment from the previous day's rates of 278.40 and 278.60 PKR.

These fluctuations in exchange rates are part of the daily adjustments observed in the foreign exchange market. The slight decrease in the rates of major currencies against the PKR indicates a stabilization trend, albeit modest, in the foreign exchange market.
