Exchange Rates Experience Minor Fluctuations Over Two Days

Islamabad: The latest figures from the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan show minor fluctuations in the buying and selling rates of major currencies over the past two days. The US dollar, Euro, British pound, Japanese yen, UAE dirham, and Saudi riyal saw slight adjustments in their exchange rates in the local market.

According to Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, on 19 July 2024, the buying rate for the US dollar was recorded at 279.05, slightly higher than the 279.00 observed on 20 July. Similarly, the selling rate remained stable at 280.50 on both days. The Euro showed a small decrease from 301.28 on the first day to 301.00 on the second day, while its selling rate slightly decreased from 304.24 to 304.00. The British pound's buying rate decreased from 358.26 to 357.70, and the selling rate adjusted from 361.62 to 361.17. The Japanese yen and the currencies of the UAE and Saudi Arabia also experienced minor changes in their buying and selling rates.

These adjustments in currency rates reflect ongoing trends in the global and local financial markets. While the changes are slight, they are indicative of the market's dynamic nature and the factors influencing currency valuation, including economic indicators, market speculation, and geopolitical events.
