Faisalabad Electric Supply Company Board of Directors sanctioned Rs.570 million for the immediate purchase of operational vehicles

Faisalabad, January 12, 2022 (PPI-OT):Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) Board of Directors (BODs) has sanctioned Rs.570 million for the immediate purchase of operational vehicles. This was decided in a 219/13th board meeting chaired by Syed Husnain Haider, held at FESCO headquarters here today. The meeting was told that FESCO is spending huge amounts on the maintenance of vehicles and FESCO staff is also facing problems while redressing the consumers’ complaints. On this BOD decided to replace these vehicles.

According to this decision, the old redundant and obsolete vehicles could be replaced for the instant redressal of consumers’ complaints. He said that the company could also save Rs.40million per annum from the head of fuel and maintenance. He further said that as per decision 66 trucks, 34 single cabin and 35 Shahzor loader mini trucks are being purchased on immediate basis.

Eng. Bashir Ahmed, CEO FESCO, has directed to speed up the purchase process and hoped that a new fleet of vehicles would be inducted as soon as its delivery was made. New operation vehicles would particularly help in gearing up maintenance work in far-flung areas of Darya Khan, Bhakkar, Mianwali as well as GSC and other directorates.
