Faisalabad, In an effort to enhance billing accuracy, the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) has implemented a state-of-the-art Pro-Rata billing software. This initiative, directed by the Ministry of Energy (Power Division), aims to standardize the billing period to precisely 30 days, ensuring fair charges based on actual electricity consumption.

According to Faisalabad Electric Supply Company, the new system has been successfully rolled out across eight districts under its jurisdiction, improving the billing process and customer service.

Previously, discrepancies such as over-reading led to inaccurate bills, a concern that the new software addresses by providing consistent 30-day billing cycles. Consumers in Faisalabad, Jhang, Sargodha, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot, Bhakkar, Khushab, and Mianwali are now receiving bills for exactly 30 days, eliminating the past variations that could extend to 32 or 33 days. The Ministry has lauded FESCO's performance, and CEO Engineer Muhammad Amir has reiterated his dedication to uninterrupted power supply and precise billing for future power consumption.
