Karachi: foodpanda, Pakistan's leading online delivery network, has initiated a Winter Initiatives program aimed at supporting its riders as they face the challenges of cold weather conditions. The company will distribute over 12,000 winter jackets and mittens to delivery partners nationwide, as part of a broader effort to ensure their welfare during the winter months.
According to Foodpanda, the initiative extends beyond the provision of winter clothing. The company has set up Soup and Tea Stations at key pandaMarts in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, offering riders hot refreshments and a place to rest during their shifts. In collaboration with Akhuwat Foundation, foodpanda is also providing jeans to riders to offer additional protection against the winter elements.
The company has also introduced an Order Driven Winter Challenge, rewarding riders who complete the highest number of deliveries with brand-new cell phones. More than 100 top-performing riders are expected to receive mobile phones as recognition for their hard work and dedication during the winter season.
Ahsan Malik, Head of Logistics at foodpanda, emphasized the importance of the initiative, stating that the riders are crucial to the company's operations, and ensuring their safety and comfort is a top priority. The initiative highlights foodpanda's commitment to creating a supportive working environment for its delivery partners, which is integral to the company's ongoing success.
