Karachi: Prices of gold and silver have witnessed a notable increase in both domestic and international markets, reflecting broader economic trends. The cost of gold per tola has surged by Rs. 5,300, reaching Rs. 299,600, while silver prices have also seen an uptick.
According to a statement by All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold now stands at Rs. 256,859, marking an increase of Rs. 4,158. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold are priced at Rs. 235,454.
On the international stage, gold prices have risen by $53, reaching $2,868. Silver prices have also increased, with a tola of 24-karat silver now costing Rs. 3,350 after a rise of Rs. 36. For 10 grams of 24-karat silver, the cost is Rs. 2,872.08, reflecting an increase of Rs. 31.08. The international price of silver is currently at $32.30.
These price adjustments are indicative of the ongoing fluctuations in the precious metals markets, driven by a range of economic factors.
