Karachi: Google has announced the launch of its advanced video generation model, Veo 3, in Pakistan, as part of an expansion to Google AI Pro subscribers across more than 150 countries. This new technology allows users to transform photos into eight-second video clips with sound, using a photo-to-video feature that has generated over 40 million videos globally since its release earlier this year.

The introduction of Veo 3 presents new opportunities for Pakistan's digital storytellers and content creators, enabling them to bring images to life with dynamic videos. Users can select the 'Videos' option from the tool menu, upload a photo, and provide a description and audio instructions to create a lively video. These features are available to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in selected countries, offering tools to animate personal moments and creative sketches.

Additionally, Google's AI filmmaking tool, Flow, has been enhanced to include speech, sound effects, and background audio in video clips. Though experimental, these audio generation capabilities offer new creative possibilities. Flow, along with Veo 3 Fast, allows users to utilize personal images as a starting point for dynamic video clips. These tools are now accessible in over 140 countries.

Google emphasizes its commitment to responsible AI use. All videos generated with Gemini feature a visible watermark and an invisible digital marker to denote their AI origins. The company conducts rigorous testing and evaluations to ensure the tools are used appropriately, enforcing strict policies against unsafe content. User feedback is actively encouraged through thumbs up and down buttons, which help refine safety measures and enhance user experience.
