Islamabad Set to Construct Advanced Expo Centre in Gulberg Greens

Islamabad, A significant development in the city's infrastructure is underway as the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) partners with the Intelligence Bureau Employees Cooperative Housing Society (IBECHS) to establish an advanced Expo Centre in Gulberg Greens. This collaboration was announced following a meeting between the ICCI, led by President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, and IBECHS officials at the Gulberg Greens head office.

According to Zameen.Com, this initiative aims to propel national growth, boost exports, and host various social and cultural events. ICCI President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari conveyed the necessity of such a venue in Islamabad, noting the city’s pivotal role in diplomatic and commercial sectors but its deficiency in a prominent expo facility. The proposed Expo Centre in Gulberg Greens is expected to fill this void, creating a platform for showcasing Pakistan's exportable goods, attracting foreign investment, and potentially increasing exports and tourism.

Drawing inspiration from international examples like China and Turkey, where expo centers have significantly influenced the economic and tourism sectors, Bakhtawari anticipates the Expo Centre will have a similar positive impact in Pakistan. Tariq Mehmood, President of IBECHS, reiterated the commitment of Gulberg Greens to this project, emphasizing its expected contribution to Pakistan's business and economic sectors.
