Karachi, April 14, 2022 (PPI-OT): View from the desk

Market witnessed another positive session today where the index, after touching intraday low of 46,054, recovered at the end of the trading session. The index closed at 46,484 level, up 319 points DOD. Total traded volume stood at 495mn shares with highest contribution coming from CNERGY (16%), WTL (-2.5%), FLYNG (2.4%), TELE (-2.4%) and MLCF (5.4%). Refinery sector outperformed for the day with 20% contribution to total volume on the back of news regarding approval of refinery policy resurfacing. Going forward, we recommend investors to sell on strength as the market approaches the 47,000 level.
