Karachi, December 14, 2021 (PPI-OT): View from the desk

Positive activity was witnessed today at the bourse. KSE-100 closed at the level of 43,247, gaining 370 points DoD. Healthy participation was witnessed in tech stocks mainly TRG (+7.5%), NETSOL (+7.5%), AVN (+6.9%) and TELE (+4.6%). Major contribution to the traded volume of 212mn shares came from WTL (+5.9%), BYCO (+6.0%), TPLP (+4.3%), TELE (+4.6%) and TRG (+7.5%). Going forward, we expect range bound activity to continue due to concerns over the economic outlook and geopolitical situation of the country. We recommend investors to avail any downside as an opportunity to buy in the Banking and E and P sectors.
