Karachi Stock Exchange Indices See Decline Amid Lower Trading Volumes

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) witnessed a decline in its major indices, KSE30 and KSE100, as trading volumes fell from previous levels. The KSE30 index closed at 52,836.31, reflecting a drop of 377.39 points, while the KSE100 index ended the session at 177,083.22, down by 1,116.80 points.

According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the market saw a decrease in turnover and traded value. The turnover for regular shares was recorded at 711,271,299, compared to the previous 785,361,866. The traded value also saw a significant decrease, with the current figure at 25,874,286,383, down from 33,140,592,332. Market capitalization fell slightly to 19,833,029,458,409 from 19,953,860,178,218. Additionally, the Development Financial Companies (DFC) segment also recorded lower turnover and traded value compared to previous figures.
