KSE-100 Index Experiences Volatile Session, Closes Slightly Lower

Karachi: The KSE-100 index experienced a turbulent trading session, eventually closing with a minor decline. After opening positively, the index saw significant fluctuations, reaching an intraday high of 438 points and a low of 1,036 points before recovering to end just 11 points down at 114,102.

Trading volumes decreased by 20% compared to the previous session. Over the past ten trading days, the index has recorded four days of gains and six of losses.

The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator remains in negative territory, continuing to trade below its signal line. However, the bearish momentum appears to be easing in the near term, as the MACD crossed below the signal line six sessions ago.

From a technical perspective, immediate support is seen at 113,800. Breaching this level could push the index further down toward 113,350 and 112,800. Resistance is anticipated around 114,900, with additional targets at 115,600 and 116,100. Analysts recommend accumulating positions near the support zone, with risk management strategies defined below this level.
