KSE-100 Index Suffers Significant Drop Amidst Bearish Sentiments

Karachi: The KSE-100 index concluded the trading session with a substantial decline, closing below its 50-day simple moving average. The index opened with a notable gap down of 1,957 points and continued to face selling pressure throughout the day, recording a significant loss of 2,206 points to settle at 115,020.

The intraday low reached 2,565 points, reflecting the market's bearish trend. Trading volumes decreased by 44% compared to the previous session, further indicating a slowdown in market activity. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at 45.14, suggesting ongoing weakness as it remains below the neutral threshold of 50.

Technical analysis points to immediate support at 114,800. A breach of this level could lead to further declines toward 114,300 and 113,700. Conversely, resistance is anticipated at 115,400, with additional targets at 116,000 and 116,500.
