According to AKD Securities Limited, the KSE-100 is trading 4.2% above its 200-period moving average, indicating an overall upward trend. However, current low volatility compared to the last 10 trading sessions may precede increased volatility and sharper price movements. Volume indicators show a balanced flow of funds, suggesting a neutral market stance. Short-term technical analysis indicates continued pressure on the index in the near term.
Immediate support for the index is identified at 177,800, with the possibility of further declines to 176,800 and 175,500 if breached. Resistance levels are expected at 178,800, 179,500, and 180,500. It is advised to adopt a cautious trading approach, accumulating positions during dips while managing risks below the support zone.
