KSE Indices Decline Amid Reduced Trading Activity

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) witnessed a decline in its major indices on July 29, 2026, with both the KSE30 and KSE100 indices closing lower compared to the previous trading day. The KSE30 index fell by 497.58 points, closing at 52,633.98, while the KSE100 index saw a decrease of 1,580.90 points, ending at 176,042.99.

According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the market experienced a reduction in turnover and traded value. The regular market's turnover decreased to 574,075,552 from the previous 958,013,971, and the traded value dropped to 25,369,263,260 from 41,566,394,443. Market capitalization also reduced, falling to 19,778,152,478,356 from 19,950,518,359,238.

The day's trading saw the indices reaching highs of 52,885.16 for the KSE30 and 176,935.03 for the KSE100, while the lows were recorded at 52,485.96 and 175,631.74, respectively. The percentage changes for the indices were -0.94% for KSE30 and -0.89% for KSE100. The decrease in figures reflects a notable decline in trading activity and market performance.
