Karachi: Pakistan's stock market experienced a significant rally, with both the KSE30 and KSE100 indices reporting sharp gains, according to data released by the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited. The KSE30 index climbed to 53,347.67 points, marking an increase of 2,395.68 points or 4.70%, while the KSE100 index reached 178,262.34 points, up by 7,241.13 points or 4.23%.
According to Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, the market's turnover saw a substantial increase. The total traded value for regular shares rose to 41.02 billion from the previous 23.89 billion, with a turnover of over one billion shares traded, up from 579 million. The market capitalization also grew significantly, reaching 20.02 trillion compared to the previous 19.28 trillion. The derivatives and odd lot markets also showed increased activity, contributing to the robust market performance.
