Lahore: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and the UK-Pakistan Trade and Investment Board (UPTIB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening the economic ties between Pakistan and the United Kingdom. The agreement focuses on enhancing trade, investment, and economic collaboration, reflecting a significant commitment to mutual economic growth.
According to Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the MoU was signed at the LCCI premises by its President, Kashif Anwar, and Tajammel Hussain, CEO-Pakistan of UPTIB. The partnership is set to promote business opportunities, facilitate trade in goods and services, and support the members of both organizations through various initiatives such as B2B meetings, exhibitions, and seminars. It also includes commitments to share business publications, conduct market surveys, and utilize Alternate Dispute Resolution mechanisms to resolve trade disputes.
