Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has initiated the establishment of twelve field camps across the city aimed at monitoring and addressing illegal commercial activities. The move comes as part of an effort to enhance regulatory oversight and provide citizens with immediate access to relevant information regarding commercialisation. The Director General of LDA, Tahir Farooq, visited the Town Planning and Enforcement Field Camp in Liberty, where he underscored the authority’s commitment to stringent enforcement measures including fines and legal actions against violators.
According to Zameen.Com, the deployment of field camps is staged in key areas including Liberty Chowk, Abu Al-Safahani Road in Faisal Town, Shadman, Gulshan Ravi, Sabzazar, Wahdat Road, WAPDA Town, Township, Canal Road, Jubilee Town, Defence Road, and Ferozepur Road. This initiative by LDA aims to ensure that all commercialisation adheres to legal standards, with the Director General Tahir Farooq affirming that comprehensive information and necessary legal resources will be readily available at these camps to assist citizens and enforce regulations.
