Lucky Cement Reports Strong Profit Growth Amid Higher Sales and Income

Karachi: Lucky Cement Ltd. (LUCK) has announced its financial results for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026, revealing a significant increase in profitability driven by higher sales and other income streams. The company reported unconsolidated earnings of PkR9.9 billion, or PkR6.8 per share, marking a 72% increase from PkR5.7 billion, or PkR3.9 per share, during the same period last year. The results align with expectations, with consolidated earnings rising by 29% to PkR17.3 per share, primarily due to growth in its core cement operations. The company also declared a cash dividend of PkR5.0 per share.

According to AKD Securities Limited, Lucky Cement's standalone revenue reached PkR35.6 billion, up 19% from PkR30.0 billion in the same period last year. This growth was attributed to an 11% increase in total offtakes and higher retention prices. Gross margins improved to 37.6%, compared to 35.6% in the previous year, supported by these factors. However, operating expenses rose by 27% to PkR3.3 billion, up from PkR2.6 billion, largely due to increased high-speed diesel prices.
