Islamabad: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved a request by K-Electric to implement provisional monthly Fuel Charge Adjustments (FCA) for May and June 2024, which will be distributed over two months in customer bills.

According to K-Electric, the FCA for May 2024, set at PKR 2.59 per kWh, will appear in the October 2024 billing cycle, and the charge for June, at PKR 3.168 per kWh, will be reflected in November 2024 bills. This structured approach aims to mitigate the immediate financial impact on consumers, resulting in a net increase of PKR 1.59 per unit in October and PKR 0.58 per unit in November.
