Nestlé Pakistan Sets Ambitious USD 50 Million Export Target by 2030 to Boost Economic Growth.


ISLAMABAD: Nestlé reaffirmed its commitment to government’s vision for Pakistan’s economic growth by unveiling its USD 50 million packaged food exports vision till 2030. The announcement came at a ceremony ‘Limitless Possibilities’ that showcased the company’s exports journey over the last few years, expanding to 26 countries and generating USD 23 million in 2024.



According to Nestle Pakistan Limited, Federal Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain emphasized the critical role of exports in Pakistan’s economic recovery. He expressed optimism about Nestlé’s potential to expand exports given the company’s global reach, highlighting that Nestlé’s efforts align with governmental strategies to boost foreign reserves and the private sector’s resilience, which is vital for economic prosperity.



Jason Avanceña, Chief Executive Officer of Nestlé Pakistan, addressed the gathering, marking the company’s 35-year milestone in Pakistan. He reiterated Nestlé’s commitment to enhancing exports and generating foreign revenue, emphasizing the need for supportive regulatory frameworks and trade agreements to realize their 2030 vision. Avanceña noted the company’s expansion into mainstream channels through partnerships with major retailers like Costco, Sobeys, and Sainsbury’s.



Claudia Thomas, Chargé d’affaires at the Embassy of Switzerland in Pakistan, extended her congratulations to Nestlé for its significant contribution to the country’s economic objectives, acknowledging the company’s strategic role in these plans.



Nestlé Pakistan has been proactive in its export strategy, leveraging digital communications and trade activations to boost brand demand globally. Their products have achieved notable market presence in numerous countries, including the USA, UK, UAE, and others, ensuring strong consumer visibility and appeal.



The company, celebrating 35 years in Pakistan, has also invested significantly in renewable energy, launching solar power plants and biomass boilers, and has committed to localizing its supply chain. Nestlé sources a substantial portion of its raw materials locally, benefiting over 90% of its raw and packaging needs and supporting local farmers’ livelihoods.



With its extensive manufacturing network and diverse product range, Nestlé Pakistan continues to contribute to the nutritional needs of millions of Pakistanis, delivering 2 billion fortified servings of value-added products last year alone.
