Pakistan Armed Forces Praised for Maintaining National Defense Amid Challenges

Karachi: Zubair Tufail, President of the United Business Group (UBG) and former President of the FPCCI, has emphasized the steadfast role played by Pakistan's armed forces in ensuring the nation's defense during periods of crisis.

According to United Business Group, in his message commemorating Pakistan Day, Tufail conveyed congratulations to the nation and underscored the historical significance of March 23. He remarked that the day symbolizes the sacrifices and struggle of the subcontinent's Muslims for an independent homeland. Tufail highlighted the realization of Pakistan under the Two-Nation Theory, which aimed to protect the identity, rights, and freedom of Muslims. He expressed that the nation continues to benefit from those sacrifices through its existence as an independent state.

Tufail further stressed the importance of national unity, democratic values, and constitutional supremacy for Pakistan's stability and development. He acknowledged the support of key countries like Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, citing ongoing agreements with Saudi Arabia as evidence of Pakistan's commitment to strong bilateral relations.

While reiterating Pakistan's peace-seeking stance, he noted the country's constructive role in fostering unity among Muslim nations. He mentioned diplomatic efforts by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif with leaders of Muslim countries to enhance these ties.

Expressing concern over regional tensions, particularly in Iran and the Gulf, Tufail called for unity within the Muslim Ummah to aid in de-escalation. He condemned the loss of innocent lives due to aggression in multiple Muslim countries and emphasized the necessity of dialogue and diplomacy for regional peace and stability.
