Karachi, The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) showcased a positive trend in its latest market report, with significant gains across major indices and an increase in trading volume. According to the report, the total number of listed companies on the Main Board stands at 524, with a listed paid-up capital of 1,673,055 million PKR and a market capitalization of 9,452,000,072,870 PKR. The Growth Enterprise Market (GEM) Board, catering to smaller companies, lists 3 companies with a total market capitalization of 2,516,461,854 PKR.

The trading volume for the Main Board was reported at 361,823,380, showing vibrant trading activity, while the GEM Board saw a modest trading volume of 500. In terms of market dynamics, the Main Board observed 208 advancers and 108 decliners, indicating a bullish market sentiment. The GEM Board reported 1 advancer and maintained stability with 2 neutral positions.

In addition, the PSX reported on the state of publicly issued and privately placed debt securities. There are 13 listed debt securities with a total issue size of 60,000,000,000 PKR and 24 privately placed debt securities with a significant total issue size of 514,588,300,000 PKR.
