Pakistan Stock Exchange’s KSE100 Index Sees Significant Gains Amidst Strong Turnover

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a considerable surge in its key indices, with the KSE100 index climbing by 7,241.14 points to reach 178,262.34, marking a 4.23% increase. The KSE30 index also saw a rise, recording a gain of 2,395.68 points, an increase of 4.70%, as trading activity intensified.

According to JS Global, the market capitalization of the PSX rose by 3.85%, reaching Rs 20,021.17 billion. The overall trading volume amounted to 1,032.19 million shares, translating to a total value of Rs 41.02 billion. The year's top gainers included HCAR, ISL, and KOHC, with prices escalating by 10.00%, 9.91%, and 9.59%, respectively. Conversely, TPLRF1 and JDWS were among the minimal losers, showing negligible changes.

The PSX's performance reflects a positive trend compared to regional markets, with gains also seen in China, India, and Korea. The year-to-date figures for the KSE100 indicate a 2.42% increase, whereas the fiscal year-to-date shows a slight decline of 1.13%. The turnover and value figures significantly surpassed the 52-week averages, signaling robust investor confidence.
