Lahore: The Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) has formalized a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the EU-China Commission to enhance trade, investment, business collaboration, and knowledge exchange. This agreement, signed by Amir Ali, Vice President of PCJCCI, aims to strengthen international economic ties by establishing robust institutional connections and facilitating interactions among businesses, investors, and industry stakeholders.
According to Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Amir Ali emphasized the MOU's potential to expand business linkages and create new opportunities for enterprises in Pakistan and China. He noted that increased cooperation could enable businesses to explore new markets, attract investment, and form mutually beneficial commercial partnerships.
A representative from the EU-China Commission affirmed the agreement's significance in reflecting a shared commitment to economic and commercial cooperation. The representative stressed the need for closer engagement among businesses and investors and expressed confidence in the partnership's potential to open new avenues for trade, investment, and knowledge sharing.
Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General of PCJCCI, remarked that the MOU would transform institutional cooperation into tangible business opportunities. He outlined plans for joint industrial and trade exhibitions, B2B conferences, business delegations, and exchange programs to foster stronger commercial connections. The agreement provides a framework for cooperation in various sectors, including trade, agriculture, culture, education, and business engagement, and encourages delegation visits to enhance mutual understanding and commercial collaboration.
Moreover, the MOU identifies opportunities in emergency and resilience industries, encouraging Chinese enterprises to explore the Pakistani market and collaborate with local stakeholders. Hanif added that PCJCCI will continue acting as a bridge between Pakistani, Chinese, and international business communities by facilitating investment, technology, and knowledge exchange.
The strategic agreement is expected to strengthen economic partnerships, expand market access, and create greater opportunities for businesses, marking a significant step toward connecting Pakistan, China, and Europe through enhanced trade, investment, and institutional cooperation.
