KARACHI: Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA) convened a meeting to discuss issues impacting the petroleum retail sector and explore areas of mutual interest.

According to PPDA Secretary Information Babar Ali Choudhary, the meeting was attended by key representatives from both organizations, including PPDA Chairman Malik Khuda Bakhsh and PSO Chief Commercial Officer Ameer Saif. Discussions focused on the allocation and supply of Force lubricants, with PPDA emphasizing the need for fair distribution to meet dealer requirements. Concerns were also raised regarding discrepancies between market and official lubricant prices, which were noted to be causing financial challenges for dealers.

PSO committed to investigating the price disparities through a survey and assured the PPDA that it would address the issues highlighted during the meeting. Additionally, PSO requested ongoing cooperation from PPDA to ensure exclusive fuel purchases and supplies through its retail outlets, aiming to strengthen operations and business relations. Both parties emphasized their dedication to collaboration and resolving outstanding issues to protect the interests of the petroleum dealers' community.
