PTCL Group Achieves 22% Revenue Growth in Q1 2025

Islamabad: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has announced a significant 22% year-on-year revenue growth for the first quarter of 2025, reinforcing its position as the leading telecom and ICT service provider in the country. The financial results were revealed during a Board of Directors meeting in Islamabad.

PTCL Group's revenue soared to Rs 61.8 billion, driven by substantial growth in consumer segments like fixed broadband and mobile data, along with notable contributions from enterprise and carrier wholesale services. PTCL itself reported a 14% increase in revenue, reaching Rs 29.6 billion, with Flash Fiber and Business Solutions contributing 70% and 23% growth, respectively.

The enterprise business saw a 23% revenue increase, while the carrier and wholesale segment grew by 24%. PTCL's international revenue also rose by 8%. The company's operating profit reached Rs 4.1 billion, a 40% increase from the previous year, and net profit hit Rs 1.2 billion.

PTML, Ufone 4G's parent company, experienced a 21% revenue growth and an 11% rise in operating profit, fueled by enhanced customer experience and digital engagement. U Microfinance Bank recorded a remarkable 77% increase in revenue.

Operationally, PTCL Group has been pivotal in advancing Pakistan's digital transformation. The company expanded its FTTH service, Flash Fiber, which now serves over 700,000 customers, marking a 70% revenue growth. PTCL also launched a WhatsApp-based bill payment solution, advancing digital convenience for customers.

Ufone 4G continued to focus on customer satisfaction and innovation, introducing products like the 'Super 5' package for shared connectivity, which contributed to a 183% subscriber growth for PTML's digital brand.

In terms of social impact, PTCL Group's 'Dil Se' platform supported initiatives like the 'Ba-Ikhtiar' program for women empowerment, which included designing the Peshawar Zalmi kit and facilitating startup growth in over 20 districts. Additionally, PTCL partnered with Pink Collar for Pakistan's first Women Career Summit and with ConnectHear to improve accessibility for deaf individuals.

These achievements underscore PTCL Group's commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, and social responsibility.
