Rawalpindi: The Commissioner of Rawalpindi Division, Engineer Aamir Khattak, has confirmed that the first phase of the Rawalpindi Ring Road project will be completed by December. This development is expected to boost industrial growth and reduce traffic congestion in the city.
According to Zameen.Com, The Rawalpindi Ring Road is part of the Annual Development Programme (ADP), which encompasses 315 schemes in Rawalpindi, with 226 currently in progress and 89 new initiatives planned. The first phase of the ring road extends 38.3 km from Banth to Thalian. The project, divided into three phases, is a critical component of the city's infrastructure development strategy.
In addition to the ring road, significant projects underway in Rawalpindi include the Lai Motorway, Kutchery Chowk, and the Safe City Project. There are also several water supply projects, renovations at Holy Family and Benazir Bhutto Hospitals, and the introduction of a mobile health service named ‘Vehicle on Wheels.’ The city is also seeing the establishment of a 150-bed Rehab Center at Wah General Hospital, upgrades to Pirwadhai Bus Stand, and the construction of a Freelance IT and Gymkhana in all districts.
