Record Gains at Pakistan Stock Exchange with Significant Trading Volume

Karachi, The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) experienced a record-breaking trading session, with the benchmark KSE100 index surging by 1,203 points to close at 69,620. Market activity was robust, with notable increases in shares across various sectors, leading to several stocks hitting their upper price limits.

According to JS Global, the market witnessed widespread buying, resulting in significant gains for companies like AVN, OCTOPUS, ISL, SAZEW, and SEARL. Other stocks such as LUCK, SYS, HUBC, NRL, OGDC, and PPL also saw notable increases. However, the trading volume decreased to 336 million shares day-on-day. Volume leaders for the day included PTC, SEARL, WTL, KEL, and PIAA, with PTC and SEARL capturing significant market attention.

The KSE100 index's year-to-date performance shows a substantial rise of 11.48%, with the KSE30 also showing impressive gains. The market capitalization reached a new high of 9,682.66 billion rupees, reflecting a 1.45% increase from the previous day. Despite some anticipated profit-taking, the overall market sentiment is expected to remain positive, sustaining the upward momentum observed in recent sessions.
