Lahore: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production, Haroon Akhtar Khan, has conducted a review of the arrangements for the upcoming 'Made in Pakistan - SME Cluster Showcase 2026,' set to take place from January 24 to 26 at the Expo Center in Lahore. The event aims to bolster the micro, small, and medium enterprise ecosystem in Pakistan.
According to Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA), during a Zoom meeting with the organizing team, Akhtar emphasized the importance of ensuring the event's success. He noted the showcase's role in expanding market access and positioning SME clusters as a vital component of the national economy, aligning with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's vision for SME development. Akhtar also highlighted the need for visibility and support for SME clusters from regions including AJK, Gilgit Baltistan, South Punjab, and Balochistan.
CEO of SMEDA, Nadia Jahangir Seth, presented plans to Akhtar, assuring him of the organization's dedication to demonstrating the full potential of Pakistan's SME clusters. The meeting highlighted that leading companies like HBL, Bank Al Habib, and Pak Suzuki Motors have joined as Platinum Sponsors, with the Bank of Punjab as a Gold Sponsor, illustrating their commitment to the growth of the SME sector in the country.
