Rawalpindi, The Rawalpindi district administration has enforced Section 144 to prevent the dumping of garbage into Nullah Leh, a measure aimed at ensuring the thorough cleaning of the drain and city’s drains before the onset of the monsoon rains.

According to Zameen.Com, Deputy Commissioner Hasan Waqar Cheema emphasized the importance of this measure during an emergency visit to Nullah Leh. Accompanied by Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Managing Director Salim Ashraf, Cheema inspected the ongoing cleaning operations and reviewed preparations for potential flooding during the monsoon.

The deputy commissioner highlighted the need to complete the cleaning of Nullah Leh before the monsoon rains arrive. He noted that special attention must be given to the city drains and their low points, which are often prone to blockages and overflow during heavy rains.
