KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Industries Jam Ikramullah Khan Dharejo has pledged complete government support to Karachi's industrial sector, acknowledging the private sector's contributions during crises and proposing reforms for the city's industrial zones.

According to S.I.T.E Association of Industry, the Minister expressed appreciation to S.I.T.E. Association Patron-in-Chief Zubair Motiwala and SAI Patron Saleem Parekh at a Meet and Greet Dinner. He lauded their assistance to the Sindh Government following fires that devastated Gul Plaza and other markets, causing significant losses.

Prominent attendees included former KCCI presidents, leaders from various industrial associations, and officials from civic agencies. The Industries Minister announced a forthcoming meeting to discuss the separation of S.I.T.E., Karachi, as part of broader governmental reform efforts. He emphasized collaboration with the private sector for infrastructure funding, conditioned on the full utilization of existing disbursements to ensure accountability.

Zubair Motiwala invited the Sindh Government to collaborate with the business community to enhance government operations and stressed the need for S.I.T.E. Karachi's separation to improve industrial management. He urged attention to infrastructure challenges in other industrial zones and emphasized maintaining industrial activity amid high utility costs.

SAI Patron Saleem Parekh thanked attendees for their participation and underscored the significance of regular interactive meetings. He acknowledged the Minister's financial support for infrastructure development.

The evening concluded with tributes to the Pakistani armed forces and the late business leader Siraj Kassam Teli. Association's Shields were presented to representatives of industrial town associations and civic agencies as a goodwill gesture.
