SMEs badly affected by Deteriorating Law and Order

Karachi, March 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (UNISAME) has complained to the interior ministry that the law and order situation in the country is getting from bad to worst and calls for the immediate attention of all law enforcement agencies to take very serious notice of increase in all types of crime in major cities of Pakistan.

President UNISAME Zulfikar Thaver said the very first step is to warn all the executive officers of various law enforcing agencies that if cases increase it would result in suspension of the in charge of the area where the law and order situation is deteriorating and incidents of crimes are increasing. Thaver said now with technology and geographical fencing they can detect movements and with forensic and digital cameras time and location can prove many incidents with evidence.

UNISAME Council said It is becoming unsafe and pedestrians and even people leaving or entering their homes or offices are attacked. This indeed is very alarming situation and the law enforcement agencies need to be alerted and warned strictly to monitor and supervise and if required raid the hideouts of the operating gangs and catch them red handed.

UNISAME Council requested for expeditious establishment of the SME Liaison Committee (SME-LC) in all the offices and branches of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) to act as a liaison between the entrepreneurs and the departments for the prompt redress of their complaints. It is pertinent to note that the micro to medium sector is the majority sector and is the backbone of the economy, the engine of growth and the vehicle for employment.
