State Bank of Pakistan Announces New Banking Limits

Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan has released new financial data outlining the current banking limits, reflecting adjustments in the permissible ceiling and floor amounts for institutions within the country.

According to the latest figures provided by the State Bank, as of July 14, 2025, financial institutions in Pakistan are subject to a ceiling amount of 40,000. This ceiling applies to a single institution, marking a change in the regulatory landscape that governs banking practices.

In contrast, the floor amount has been set at 65,000, also applicable to a single institution. This adjustment indicates a strategic shift in the State Bank's approach to managing the liquidity and stability of financial entities across the nation.
