Karachi, April 02, 2023 (PPI-OT):The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (UNISAME) welcomed the plan to set up a strategy management unit (SMU) by the Sindh government with the help and support of International Trade Centre (ITC) and extended full cooperation and support to the ministries of commerce and industry in its goal.

UNISAME’s president Zulfikar Thaver said it has always been our aim and objective to uplift the SME sector in Sindh which has scope both in SME industrial units and farming. Thaver stressed the need for the promotion of dairy farming, poultry, sheep farming, fishing and also hydroponic farming which have been overlooked and which can really boost the sector. He said it is expected that the Sindh government will leave no stone upturned under the leadership of Syed Murad Ali Shah the chief minister of Sindh who has a scientific approach and is keen to do his best for Sindh.

Secondly it is the need of the hour as due to inflation and unemployment the situation is become alarming and in such a situation self-employment is the answer. UNISAME Council members have also offered their services to ITC, SMEDA, SEDF, Sindh government to make the SMU successful in its aim and objectives.
