Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is taking significant strides to enhance the industrial and recreational infrastructure of Islamabad, as evidenced by a series of site visits conducted by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa on July 29. These visits underscored the CDA's commitment to advancing industrialization, beautifying recreational areas, and preserving the aesthetic appeal of the city.
According to Zameen.Com, during his visit to the Industrial Triangle Kahota, Chairman Randhawa emphasized the need for modern facilities and infrastructure to support industrialists, particularly in the IT and telecom sectors. He advocated for the elimination of exploitation in the area and urged the prompt establishment of industries by plot allottees to spur economic growth.
At the Diplomatic Enclave, Randhawa inspected various uplift projects, directing that landscaping efforts adhere to a unified theme to maintain the area’s visual integrity. He also pushed for the rapid completion of ongoing minor construction and repair tasks to enhance the locale's functionality and appearance.
The visit to the Jinnah Convention Centre revealed ongoing renovation activities, where Randhawa instructed an expansion of the main hall's seating capacity to better accommodate world-class events. Additionally, he emphasized the need for meticulous landscaping in the surrounding green areas to complement the site's upgraded facilities.
Randhawa's tour also included Ankara Park, where he called for improved landscaping and beautification initiatives, such as decorating the Rawal Dam Interchange walls and displaying international flags to enhance cultural representation. At Lakeview Park, he mandated improvements to the walkways and commissioned a detailed plan for its continued maintenance and beautification, ensuring the park remains a cherished spot for recreation and relaxation.
Furthermore, the CDA is launching a new Margalla Hills Plantation Campaign, inviting diplomats from various countries to participate. This initiative, inspired by directives from Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, aims to foster a deeper connection between international communities and local conservation efforts, strengthening diplomatic ties through shared environmental stewardship.
