Karachi: NED University of Engineering and Technology, in collaboration with Dawlance and REON Energy, hosted the second International Conference on Technology Driven Climate Action, known as CLIMATECH-2025. The event, held on January 16 and 17, 2025, brought together experts and stakeholders to discuss innovative solutions for climate change and sustainability.
According to a statement by Dawlance, the conference aimed to drive innovation and promote sustainable practices by integrating climate change topics into the academic curriculum and encouraging community engagement. The Chief Guest, Turkish Council General Cemal Sangu, highlighted the need for collaborative efforts in addressing climate change.
Pro Vice Chancellor of NED University, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tufail, emphasized the institution's commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in clean energy and sustainable urban development. Meanwhile, Dawlance's Chief Marketing Officer, Syed Hasan Jameel, reiterated the company's dedication to sustainability through partnerships like CLIMATECH-2025.
The conference featured multiple sessions and discussions, including a sustainability hackathon organized by Dawlance. Experts presented technological advancements to tackle environmental challenges, focusing on stakeholder engagement, water management, and green economy.
