Islamabad: In a significant move towards enhancing healthcare support for its workforce, foodpanda Pakistan has teamed up with QJ Diagnostic to establish free Hepatitis-C medical camps for its delivery riders in Islamabad. This initiative underscores the commitment of both organizations to the health and safety of the riders, who play a crucial role in foodpanda's operations.
According to Foodpanda, the medical camps, led by Mr. Zubair Nasir, CEO of QJ Diagnostic, were set up at the F-8 and Saddar hubs in Islamabad. The camps provided comprehensive Hepatitis-C testing and treatment at no cost to the riders. This health drive is part of a broader effort by QJ Diagnostic, which has been actively working to eradicate Hepatitis-C in Pakistan and has treated hundreds of patients in the past eight months.
Muntaqa Peracha, Managing Director of foodpanda Pakistan, emphasized the importance of the initiative, noting that the health of their riders is a top priority for the company. The collaboration with QJ Diagnostic not only facilitates crucial health services but also highlights foodpanda's dedication to its community of riders.
Zubair Nasir shared that the motivation behind QJ Diagnostic’s efforts is deeply personal, inspired by his late mother, Qamar Jahan Begum. The company has a notable history of providing medical services to various large organizations and is now extending its expertise to support the underprivileged, including foodpanda's delivery personnel.
This partnership marks a pivotal step in ensuring that foodpanda riders receive the necessary health checks and treatments, contributing positively to public health and setting a precedent for corporate responsibility in Pakistan.
