Lahore, The Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), also known as Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab), has unveiled the Grand Souq Lahore (GSL), a new venture designed to revitalize the local business environment. GSL is set to be a major hub for commerce, offering a dynamic space for local businesses and investors.
According to Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), the Grand Souq Lahore will be constructed over a 68 kanal area at the Rescue 1122 Academy on Ferozepur Road, Lahore. The project, inspired by architectural designs from Dubai and Turkey, is aimed at providing a world-class platform for the local business community. GSL will feature a sophisticated infrastructure, including three floors of retail spaces ranging from 350 to 550 square feet and underground parking facilities.
Imran Amin, CEO of CBD Punjab, expressed that the local business community and investors are crucial to the economic strength of the region. He emphasized that GSL is a significant step in empowering these sectors and promoting economic development. The project's strategic location promises easy access from major areas, including Ferozepur Road, Icchra, Samnabad, and Shadman, making it an attractive destination for visitors.
Industry experts are optimistic about the transformative potential of GSL, expecting it to set new standards in business development and contribute significantly to the local economy. The project is part of CBD Punjab's broader efforts to establish Pakistan as a player in the global business district scene, focusing on eco-friendly urban regeneration and economic generation.
PCBDDA has previously completed notable projects such as the Kalma Underpass CBD Punjab Boulevard and has initiated construction on other key developments, including the Bab-e-Pakistan, Walton Road upgrade, and a state-of-the-art parking plaza. With a total investment of 56.47 Billion PKR secured from two grand auctions, CBD Punjab is positioning itself as a catalyst for economic growth in the region.
