Gwadar, The Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) has embarked on an important road expansion project along the Makki Masjid-Mullah Fazil Chowk stretch of Syed Zahoor Hashmi Road, commonly referred to as Airport Road. This development was reported in national dailies on November 11 and signifies GDA's dedication to improving connectivity in the rapidly growing city of Gwadar.
According to Zameen.com, GDA Director-General Dawood Khan Khilji highlighted that the project is a response to a long-standing request from the local community for better transportation links. The construction, which has already begun, is being welcomed by residents, businesses, and the general public in Gwadar, underlining the urgent need for its timely completion.
The project's scope includes the enhancement and widening of this crucial business thoroughfare, which provides access to significant areas such as Mullah Fazil Chowk and Shahi Bazaar. The improvement works also entail upgrading sewerage and drainage systems, addressing environmental and health concerns in the city.
This road expansion initiative is a crucial part of GDA’s broader plan for sustainable development and infrastructure improvement in Gwadar. It is expected to significantly boost the city's connectivity and accessibility, thereby stimulating economic growth and aiding community development.
