Karachi, July 08, 2021 (PPI-OT): Fertilizer update

As per our channel checks, Engro Fertilizer (EFERT) increased DAP prices by Rs. 200/bag yesterday. This price increment is in response to the rise in international DAP prices. A similar announcement by Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Ltd (FFBL) is likely later today. New DAP prices would be ~Rs. 5700-5750/bag post increase.

In other news, Ministry of National Food Security and Research has submitted a proposal to the ECC to extend the subsidy of Rs. 1500/acre to all Phosphatic Fertilizers for Kharif season instead of only DAP.
