Engro Executives Cleared in LNG Contract Case by Accountability Court

Karachi, The Accountability Court has acquitted Engro Corporation executives, including Chairman Hussain Dawood, Director Abdul Samad Dawood, and former CEO Sheikh Imran ul Haq, in a case regarding the award of an LNG contract. The court found no evidence of illegality, irregularity, or financial loss to the national exchequer.

According to Engro Corporation Limited, the decision comes after a thorough examination of the case, which has now cleared the names of the involved executives. Engro has emphasized its commitment to fair and transparent business practices throughout its operations and highlighted its adherence to strong corporate governance, ethics, and legal compliance.

The LNG terminal at the center of the case is vital for Pakistan, contributing 15% to the nation’s total gas supply, crucial for both industrial and domestic use.
