Korangi Leaders Appointed to Key Roles in Sindh Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority

Karachi: The Sindh Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (STEVTA) has appointed several key figures from the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) to prominent positions, enhancing the link between industrial demands and vocational training. Johar Kandahari, a former president of KATI, has been named a member of the STEVTA Board, while Ehteshamuddin, also an ex-president and chairman of KATI, has been elected for the chairmanship of the Sindh Steuta Sub-Government Vocational Training Center in Korangi.

According to Korangi Association of Trade and Industry, Junaid Naqi, the current President of KATI, extended his congratulations to the appointed members. He highlighted their roles as industrialists and businessmen dedicated to fostering a strong relationship between research institutions and the industry. Naqi expressed confidence that under their leadership, the Korangi Vocational Training Institute would see significant growth.

Additional appointments include Nighat Awan, Wajid Hussain, and Tariq Hussain as members of the Government Vocational Training Center in Korangi. Junaid Naqi also applauded Nadeem Khan, another executive committee member of KATI, for his election as a member of STEVTA, marking it as a significant honor for the association. Naqi emphasized the critical need for skilled manpower, which he described as the backbone of the economy, and called for collective efforts to ensure a bright future for the youth by encouraging them to start their own businesses.

The newly elected officials are expected to bring together major research and training institutions to develop a comprehensive strategy that aligns with industrial needs and evolving technologies. Naqi stressed the importance of adapting training programs to global trends to enhance regional and international competitiveness.
