KSE-100 Shows Resilience, Closes Above Lower Band with Significant Gains

Karachi, The KSE-100 Index experienced a volatile trading session, opening on a negative note but making a strong recovery by the end of the last trading session the index posted a significant rebound from an early low of 413 points, reaching a high of 1,839 points and closing with a gain of 1,693 points, settling at 60,864 points.

According to AKD Securities Limited, The trading volumes in the last session were slightly lower compared to the previous session. The KSE-100 is currently positioned 28.6% above its 200-period moving average on the daily chart, indicating a robust trend. The market experienced extremely high volatility compared to the average over the last 10 periods. However, there is a potential for this volatility to decrease, and the Index may stabilize in the near term. Volume indicators suggest a balanced flow of volume into and out of the Index.

Technical analysis of the chart formation indicates that the KSE-100 may find initial support near the 60,500 points level. Should the index break below this support, it might further weaken towards the 60,100 and 59,600 points levels. On the flip side, the index may encounter resistance near 61,300 points initially, with potential to move towards the 61,900 and 62,500 points areas. Investors are advised to adopt a cautious trading approach and consider accumulating positions during periods of weakness.
