Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) is making significant progress on the Controlled Access Corridor Block Road and the Ravi Bridge Extension Project. These efforts are part of a larger initiative to enhance the city’s infrastructure, aligning with goals set by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
According to Zameen.Com, the LDA has been proactive in managing the construction challenges posed by the current monsoon season. LDA Director General Tahir Farooq recently inspected the project sites to ensure ongoing efforts meet the necessary standards and timelines.
The Controlled Access Corridor Block Road has seen considerable advancements, with Chief Engineer Asrar Saeed confirming that work on the Saggian to Babu Sabu service road is nearly complete. Additionally, construction efforts continue on a 1.7 km section of the road, involving asphalt laying and water-bound work to enhance durability and safety.
Furthermore, the Babu Sabu Toll Plaza is nearing the final stages of construction. This phase includes the removal of encroachments and the development of a green belt, aiming to improve both the aesthetic and functional aspects of the toll plaza area.
These projects represent a critical part of Lahore’s infrastructure development, expected to improve traffic flow and connectivity across the city. With these enhancements, the LDA aims to provide a more efficient and sustainable urban transport network.
